Family Law Solicitor / Fee Earner (2 years PQE or Equivalent) – Full or Part Time

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of Family Law matters including; Divorce, Ancillary Relief and Children matters.

Based in Macclesfield (possibility of home working).

The successful candidate will ideally have the following knowledge and experience –

  • Solicitor/Fee Earner with at least 2 years family law experience;
  • Have in-depth knowledge and technical expertise in family law matters, and be able to confidently manage a varied caseload;
  • Excellent client care, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Good IT skills / confident in using a case management system (Proclaim experience an advantage); and
  • Be able to work effectively as a family lawyer as part of the family law team.

The Role:

Working within the Client Relationship Team you will be the first point of contact for all new clients via our website adverts.
You will be passionate about providing the highest levels of service to our clients, have excellent interpersonal skills gained from a customer service background.

You will be working in a paperless office using up to date technology supporting solicitors who are based both in the office and remotely.

The role is varied and tasks will include (but not be limited to);

  • Answering telephone calls and emails from prospective clients, capturing marketing information accurately.
  • Inputting client information on the case management system, ensuring a strong attention to detail and that all data is accurate.
  • Reviewing and collating client documentation
  • Engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Managing your time and maximising your availability to ensure all client queries are answered in a timely manner.
  • Complying with the firm’s policies and procedures and undertake all instructions efficiently.
  • Championing the firm, alongside our values and ethics.

About you:

  • IT skills with a good understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Great attention to detail and an ability to present relevant information in a clear concise manner.
  • Enthusiastic to learn
  • Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team
  • Ability to focus and follow processes correctly and consistently
  • Ability to relate to people and build strong working relationships with clients with a passion for customer service
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills

Job Purpose:

  • Answering incoming calls
  • Opening and Distributing incoming post
  • Sending out outgoing post
  • Action Tasks for the Fee Earners on a daily basis
  • Action Court Post
  • E-Mailing documents to clients and chasing clients for return
  • Logging new claims onto the Portal
