There isn't one. Where the accident wasn't your fault and liability is accepted, the costs of your repair and replacement vehicle are normally recovered from the at-fault driver's insurer, so there's nothing for you to pay. If you also pursue a personal injury claim, this may be handled under a No Win No Fee agreement — any success fee would always be explained and agreed with you in writing before you proceed.
You may still need to notify your own insurer that an accident happened, as most policies require this. Beyond that, we handle communication with the other driver's insurer directly, so you're not stuck chasing updates yourself.
Where you're not at fault and this is accepted by the other insurer, your no-claims bonus is protected and you shouldn't pay an excess. As with any accident, it's possible that a claim being recorded could be a factor your insurer considers at renewal — we'll always be upfront with you about what applies to your situation.
No. We believe in being upfront about costs before you agree to anything. The only situation where charges could apply is if a claim turns out to be fraudulent — for example, a staged accident.
